Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our sea freight services

Transit times vary widely depending on the route. Typical examples include: Asia to North America (14-30 days), Asia to Europe (25-40 days), Europe to North America (10-15 days). These estimates include port handling and customs clearance. Specific transit times for your route will be provided during the quote process.

FCL (Full Container Load) means you exclusively use an entire container for your shipment, providing better security, faster transit, and often more cost-effective for larger volumes. LCL (Less than Container Load) involves sharing container space with other shippers, making it more economical for smaller shipments but typically with longer transit times due to consolidation and deconsolidation processes.

Standard container sizes include 20-foot containers (approximately 33 cubic meters capacity), 40-foot containers (approximately 67 cubic meters), and 40-foot high-cube containers (approximately 76 cubic meters with additional height). Specialized containers such as open-top, flat rack, refrigerated (reefers), and tank containers are also available for specific cargo requirements.

Typical documentation includes: Bill of Lading (B/L), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, and potentially product-specific certificates depending on the cargo and destination requirements. Our team handles the preparation and processing of all required documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.

DYCECORP provides real-time tracking updates throughout your shipment's journey. You'll receive a tracking number that can be used on our online portal to monitor major milestones. Additionally, our team sends regular status updates at key points such as vessel departure, arrival at transshipment ports, and arrival at destination port.
